Say goodbye to perfectly straight styles and impeccably defined curls this spring/summer, and hello to sexy unconstructed waves and undone buns. Braids have also made a huge comeback this year and I love it! It never fails. Everyday I am asked by my clients, “What’s new with hair fashion?”  I usually feel pretty confident in my knowledge of what’s “in” but I decided to sit down and research the latest and greatest of the 2012 Summer trends. What I have found is super exciting!

Unconstructed weaves or “beach weaves” are super sexy and talk about simple! For all you lucky ladies who have natural wave, it’s as simple as applying some H-Line Smooth Body to damp hair, scrunch, and let it air dry. Once dry, break it up by combing your fingers through your hair with a little Silkening Serum or Styling Polish to add shine and definition.

For those of you who either A: don’t have a natural wave or B: Don’t care for your natural wave, a wand iron is the way to go. These irons are amazing because they can create all different kinds of texture. Depending on the size of the iron, you can create anything from Taylor Swifts kinky ringlets to Kate Hudson’s sultry waves. Just remember the smaller the iron the tighter the curls and vice versa.
