Undone Sock Bun by Devon
The sun is out and the heat is up! The temperature is climbing, and with very little work, undone buns are a way to stay cool without sacrificing style in these hot months. I especially love using this look when I decided to hit the snooze button one too many times in the morning.
Sock Bun was an idea I found on Pinterest and I must say is genius! I know, it sounds kind of odd but it is so cute and yes, you literally have a sock in your hair. FYI for those of you who have hair just below the shoulders, you can do this look as well.
Step One: Take an old sock, preferably close in hair color and cut it off at the toe. Where the toe used to be, start rolling the sock down until you have created a donut.
Step Two: Gather all of your hair into a high pony and secure it with a pony tail holder at the crown. You can have your pulled back hair as messy or slick as your feeling that day.
Step Three: After securing the ponytail, feed your hair through the hole in the sock donut and pull up until you have about two to three inches of your hair sticking out of the sock. Then spread the hair out over the sock and start rolling the sock down, tucking the hair in as you go.
QUICK TIP: If there are any stray hairs out, either leave them or tuck them into the bottom of the bun. It can be a little awkward at first but I promise once you do it a few times, this is the most simple style ever.
Step Four: Finish the look off with some H-Line Designer Hairspray for a soft hold and mist with a little H-Line Give Me Shine for a healthy glow and you are good to go.
